VirginMobileUSA Broadband2Go : Questions, Answers, How To, FAQs, Tips, Advice, Answers, Buying Guide
► SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS - U600
The U600 should work with any system that meets the following System Requirements. If your system doesn't meet the System Requirements
then consider the Overdrive Pro.

• Mac Requirements: Mac OS X, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 only
• Windows Requirements: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.
• Your Mac or Windows PC must have a USB port available to connect to the U600 device.

Your Virgin Mobile account is setup using a browser window. The U600 is also configured using a browser window. The U600's device drivers will be
downloaded to your Mac or Windows PC from the U600. You must use a Mac or Windows PC to setup your Virgin Mobile account and configure the U600.
The U600 can only be used by one Mac or Windows PC at a time. The U600 does not create a Wi-Fi hotspot.

See the U600 user manual at http://www.virginmobileusa.com/resource ... -Guide.pdf

NOTE: The software on the U600 device does not support Windows 8 or Mac OS 10.8. A software download from the Virgin Mobile website is required. Do not follow the installation instructions provided with the device. Download the U600 User Guide and follow the installation instructions in the User Guide for Windows 8 or Mac OS 10.8.

In short, you'll need to buy another WiFi USB adapter or PCIE card,
if you want to attempt to use XBOX Live, it will need to be dual antenna WiFi 802.11N WiFi.
(That's assuming your cell phone data transmission/receive speeds are fast enough)

You then will make an ad hoc WiFi network, the u600 as your internet, and the WiFi adapter as the ad hoc network.

Yes you can do that.
I haven't done it in long enough I can't tell you how.

Go search for how to flash your router to the DD-WRT firmware.
DD-WRT for linksys routers has a Repeater function specifically to do what you want.
Then it's a matter of turning your PC into a router itself.

The MicroGeneric that is 1,69Mb ,

read the Wiki link to find a step by step guide to flash the firmware to your router.

I can't walk you through this, haven't used a Linksys WRT router in 4 years, and haven't flashed one in over 6 years.

No need to flash

Edit: Just seen the note.

Well you can try if its not working then you'll have to use DDWRT or buy another adapter.
