Votes are killing PR

The same servers playing the same maps over and over again is killing PR. I wish I had the stats but these maps are all being played WAY too much over and over again daily.
Sareema
Kamiyasha
Mutrah
and yes Fallujah
while other maps hardly see any action at all
Archer
Korengal
Karbala
I realize more votes seem to come in for AAS but when you put into context how many people aren't voting, how close the votes are, the seemingly recent decline in server population... usually there are 2 full US servers and lately there has only been 1.... time for less votes and more affirmative action. Insurgency is the unique game mode to PR, AAS is played out.

This ain't feedback for maps, neither is this game feedback. The votes are controlled by the server admin teams so provide this feedback to the related servers please.
Also AAS is as unique as insurgency. given we have randomized and connected flags so it's not the usual 'conquest'.

Aas is popular. Ins is popular. Fcv does like 2 @@$ maps then ins.
Apparently votes cause server bugs

I've been playing on Free Candy Van and they never do votes. I used to play on CIA and it was nice to at least have a say. They sometimes ask for map suggestions and that's cool, and it is well within their right to choose maps. I just like votes better. We end up playing the same maps that are on the server map rotation and it gets old. Still though, it's a fun server and I appreciate playing on it.

I'd like to see more servers planning a maplist for the day, but allowing votes on alternate maps.

We should put this to a vote. But seriously too many map votes is annoying, at first it allowed more maps to be changed instead of the same rotation of maps, but now it is used to play the same three maps over and over again.

Thats what was happening on Joint Force TeamWork Night on NEW and MERK for the past months and will continue on the ARC*Teamwork Server starting next week.

Hi, I might be the crazy one with the idea with these maps.
1) We love hearing suggestions, we pick the maps people tell us in teamspeak, mapvotes cause a cluster of spam for a few hundred seconds and when you are playing a round of Project Reality seriously you don't want a clutter of chat covering your screen and then people complaining after the vote has been done then expressing the same some that is posted in the OP.
2) Another reason why we don't do mapvotes is because, well, this might sound selfish but it's our server, OUR as in the people that are on our teamspeak. You have to realize a good 15-30 people on the server are on our teamspeak, not only do they pick maps they also report making the defusing of conflicts in the server much easier to handle.
3) We care about our population the most, I know you would say "Population bases itself off the map choices", well not all base their selves off the map choices. We try to pick classic Project Reality maps because we ALL can go back to those and enjoy them, plus it maintains a good server population (irony?).
4) Archer, Karbala, and Korengal are played regularly it's just that recently we get a European blend in our population due to the Australians keeping it seeded during their night time also known as European peak time AKA the time of the day where PR has 500 people online at one time.
5) There are a good number of maps & layers (5-15) where they crash the server during mid-loading, it doesn't contribute to our server, at least we show we try.
6) Server stability, this is a big one, I have experienced lag and rubber banding on a few maps (Shijia, Wanda Shan) but I still dare to play them, to us it's like swimming in the deep end of the pool since we're a new server with previous stability issues.
Recently we haven't been wanting to take many risks due to the fact our server has had only ONE middle-game crash (connection interrupted crash) in the past 5 days where we've been fully populated during the last five days and to be honest it's one of our greatest weeks of being up especially on our new server we have recently put a lot of nickle and dime into.
So overall, I'm judging that this post was based about our server, and if it is you are welcome to dispute VIA teamspeak (ts.fcvgaming.net) and our website is also available (smurf posted on it earlier; forums.fcvgaming.net).
@Dev's please message me if you know a fix to the middle-of-map-changing crashes and/or any supplemental logs I could provide if any.
Best regards,
Brennan

My only idea on the crashes would be the texture bug we are currently working to fix. Some maps with unique textures crash other maps with the same overgrowth. For example iirc you should not play a woodland map after dovre. I would suggest playing a level with no deciduous trees after that and maybe even sbeneh. Things like Kashan, black gold, burning sands, basrah etc after those two.

Well, this is nice to know, thanks!
