Battlefield 2 Login Issue "1004:Error connecting to server (10060)"

Hi guys I am new to proj. reality. I am having some trouble creating an account for multiplayer. Basically when I try to create an account it tells me the account is already in use. So I used a different email and when I click the create account icon it says database could no be read or there was a problem with the server. Please Help

Hello Dominique,

Start PRLauncher->Hover mouse over Play->Profiles->Manage Profiles->Create Profile->Create New Account

Create an OFFLINE Account.

Shutdown PR and PRLauncher.

Open PRLauncher->Hover mouse over Play->Check for Updates

You wiill then download all the new updates.

Then you can create a New ONLINE account, and play with us online.

Gamespy is no more, you need to make a new PR account in the PR launcher.

Are you using battlelog.co aka ReviveBF2 to play vanilla BF2?

Hey guys,
I have the same problem as StormSurge
Buy BF2 and download the mod...

On the launcher I try to create a new account and getting these error-message:
"1004:Error connecting to server (10060)"

I think the reason is that the GameSpy-server are down since April.

Is there an other way to get an account to play PR??

I'm getting tthis as well when I tried to connect to my profile to play PR. Is something wrong with the login network?

Trying to join via PRspy gives the 1004 error.

Getting this msg.. was playing fine all day today than had a CTD. now receiving the above msg. Tried verifying integrity of bf2 in steam, tried checking for updates... to no avail. any help please would be greatly appreciated. Running Win 8.

I'm still having this problem. I've played PR for 4 years, and I've had 3 straight months of no problems, and today it pops up again. I realize it's because I can't connect to the master server, but I don't know how to fix it. Litoralis' solution didn't work, and none of the others I've found have worked. I've had this problem before, but I can't remember how it was fixed. Will the problem just blow over?

I would really appreciate some help.

Edit: Ohhhhh I know whats happening. The Master Server is down entirely, but people who are connected to the server before it went down can still play, they just can't join back if they leave. Thank goodness, I thought I was going to have to fuck around with my computer again.

Yup. Experiencing same problem. No connection, and no servers in PRSPY. Looks like the whole shebang is down. Came here looking for answers, but nothing yet.
