Cheapest PC to run...

Looking to buy a PC that can run something like BF3 at its highest settings. I will start off looking at the cheapest ones out there, so I'd appreciate some help.

At the moment i play PR on a laptop, because i don't usually use PC for gaming. I don't want the best one out there, but i do want something that can easily play PR and and probably PR:2 at its highest/good settings.

Cheers.

What resolution you wanna play on? Full HD? What CPU/GPU? Intel? AMD? Nvidia?

Resolution probably somewhere around 1900x1200. But for the rest I'm not sure.

Cheapest would be an AMD CPU and AMD GPU... R9 280X would be GREAT, but cheaper is the R9 270X (but not that good, won't get you in BF3 on max. ultra settings that high fps, about 50 fps probably).

CPU you could go with AMD FX-8350 OR little cheaper AMD FX-6350 (not worth it though imo).

AM3+ Motherboard (ASUS is my recommendation),

8 GB memory also needed at least, then power supply (for energy hungry AMD CPU+GPU),

DVD drive,

Win 7 or Win 8.1 OS (7 is still more stable and reliable imo)

There was actually a thread recently about this too:

I'm slowly modifying a second computer to run PR, it has an old design but new 775 socket mobo with a second-hand 3.1 ghz dual core CPU both cost about $100.
Failing finding a cheap second hand graphic card with 1GB VRAM I'm thinking a GTX750 is more than enough
For PR for $100.
With a little ram and a 64 bit OS I think this will be around $350.

Hiya SevenEleven,

what do you got, and what do you need?
monitor, hdmi cable, keyboard, mouse, headset/headphones/mic/speakers,
pc case, power supply, power strip/UPS, hard drive, OS license, etc.. etc..

Psyrus linked to a thread about using a Pentium g3258 for PR. Specifically just to run PR. !!!It won't run BF3 at acceptable levels!!!!

building a system on the FX6350 and the GTX 750 OC would be my suggestion at the moment.

My bad, it was late here and I saw PR not BF4, my apologies!
