Setting up mouse

Post by Cassius »

Got me a new mouse a logitech g700s after my Mouseman Wheel died . Its the first new mouse I bought since, well, 9/11 really.

You can set up the DPI on it. So my question, does it do any good if you set the sensitivity to the minimum and jack up the resolution of your the mouse until you have the speed desired, or does it have no influence on the accuracy of the mouse?

I have no idea what resolution on a mouse is, but you have an on-the-fly speed setting on there. My typical DPI for my G500 is 2000, but that's my preference. Just set a few different speeds for your different levels and find out what you like.

It does affect it.
Read this:
An Overview of Mouse Technology
then pick a mouse off this list:
Gaming Mouse Sensor List

G700s S9808 sensor is pretty good ,

Crazy enough, you actually need to buy a 1000 dps mouse to get the full value of a 120Hz monitor system. At least for twitchy gaming and FPS games like PR.

So yes. Move it to 1000hz polling in the Logitech Gaming Software panel.
