Uber framerate drops

I have an R9 280X + E3-1230V2 and PR has not been a good experience for me. With my previous GTX 650 + i7-3770 I was able to get pretty consistent fps, but now the lag is horrible.

My 280X is slacking off and doesn't ever go beyond 40% usage, though it is at max clock; Core 0 in my 1230V2 is always near 100% usage. I know not to expect any multithreaded perf out of BF2, but still; it's never been this bad.

Settings are all maxed out w/ vsync; same as before with my GTX 650. Any ideas?

It's CPU limited is my guess.

Best we can do is offlaod as much as we can from Core 0 and Core 1, so PRBF2.exe and PRLauncher.exe can use as many cpu cycles on those cores as possible.

1. download bitsum processlasso free (32 or 64 bit depending on your OS) https://bitsum.com/processlasso/
install it. run it.
start PR, join a server.
alt tab out, Processlasso is in the taskbar, open it.
Right click on PRBF2.exe , set to Gaming Mode
Right click on PRLauncher.exe , set to Gaming Mode
explanation: https://bitsum.com/docs/pl/Gaming%20mode/

2. Download Razer gamebooster. Razer Game Booster Performance Boosting & Screencapture Software - Razer United States
Manually sort through and shut down as many background processes as possible when you use the Gamebooster Boost.

Which type of lag are you experiencing? Swings in your FPS? Warping? rubberbanding?

When there are a lot of visible and invisible players in the direction I'm facing, often I will have severe screen tearing and just a general drop in FPS. This sounds obvious, but it's extremely hard to deal with compared to the minor drop I would experience on my GTX 650.

I'll try your suggestions, thanks.
