PR Game lag 2-3 Sec's in game - WIN7

Post by trickla »

Since the last set of updates I've started experiencing 2-3 sec of lag within the game after commencement. Fustrated to the point that I just shut the program down. All my drivers are up to date, all Win7 updates are current, all firewall permissions have been placed in AVG 2014. PR will on the odd occasion work fine.....but 90% of the time the lag issue is always there. It worked fine before.

AVG is nasty piece of software ( my personal opinion ) so if you like it try adding PRBF2.exe, PRLauncher.exe and punkbuster A and B executable to AVG exclusion list. Or just try shutting it off and try playing a bit and see what happens.

Also it may be fragmentation issue, so do a cleanup and defrag on your PC.

Due to my paid for avira ALWAYS having update issues I tried AVG free....

Seemingly much more secure but I had to switch bits on and off to keep the pc operational, for example dl speeds went insane until I switched off something or other, as I assume AVG was analysing it all, very secure but too slow.
