PR:BF2 v1.3 Manual

As you could have seen in our recent released
changelog, PR:BF2 v1.3 includes a variety of tweaks and gameplay changes as well as a few new features. To flatten the learning curve for both new and even long time Project Reality players we want to present you an updated manual. It is a recommended read for all current players to freshen up their knowledge.
The manual has been updated in all sections of all changes between v1.0 and v1.3. It received additional content and extra images to old sections for a more pleasant reading experience. It's structure was also altered to be in a more logical layout.
We have also restarted the community translation project of the manual. To find out more you can visit
this thread. Use that thread as well to report any spelling or grammatical errors if you do find them.

Some small mistakes on last pages that were left in by accident:
The commander has threw his command menu the ability to place a laze with the last icon.
The UAV no longer has the ability to laze. All UAV have thermal and 3 zoom levels. The militia now also has a color UAV but no thermal and only 2 zoom levels.
This will be fixed shortly in the public version.

Is this correct or a remnant of the old manual?
"Enemy insurgent combatants killed by knife counts as an arrest."
Does this also apply to civis?

Civilian doesn't have grappling hook and first aid kit anymore. Iraqi insurgents now have a dedicated medic class. civies are still a bit different between factions though. I hope we can make them more similar for all unconventional factions in v1.4.
Should be fixed in next manual update.

Freelook is a BF2 feature so shouldn't be in our manual but theirs

It says in the beginning of the manual that it focuses on the differences between PR and BF2 and that a basic knowledge of BF2 is required.

Alright, thanks for the info. Also, about the usage of the Civi, after dropping your kit do you still have to wait 2 minutes or has this been changed to 1 minute for v1.3?

I know how you feel - it's the only weapon in PR that make me nauseous when playing because of the view model.

In thermal mode you also have the ability to laser designate targets to assist close air support. These targets retain their lock for 30 seconds.
This got me confused, is it added again or from the old times?
