Win7 Cannot set default program to open

I am trying to set .bundledmesh files to be opened with BFMeshView.exe by default. When i go through the process of selecting the BFMeshViewer.exe, it just goes back to the selection screen w/o adding the MeshViewer to the list.
I already cleared my extension cache, but didnt help.
Anyone any ideas?

Fixed by setting the extensions within MeshViewer to be associated with it.
