Lost connection to server.

When I first got PR around September/November 2014 and I played it fine until around in December or maybe Janurary 2015. I got the dreaded "lost connection to server" this would happen every 5 minutes to 2 hours. I tried looking here and tried a lot of things and nothing worked so I gave up and didn't play till March of 2015. I tried and it ran ok and then a day later I get it. A little bit after I remember there being a small update and it actually fixed my problem, I was playing like nothing was wrong and after awhile I stopped. Finally 1.3 arrives and I downloaded it last night and played with one of my friends. I played for 3 hours without anything happening. Today I tried playing and within 10 minutes I lose connection. I keep trying on different servers and 2-20 minutes later I still get kicked. I told my brother to download it and it works and he doesn't get kicked within 20 minutes. I always have my computers firewall off and I tried disabling my avg. I would love some help.
Edit: I played for 30 minutes today and I loss connection then joined again and then lost connection within 20 minutes and I kept joining and the numbers keep going down and down. Now I can't even join for more than 30 seconds.

0) Does it say you got kicked or does it just say "connection to the server has been lost"
1) When you open your PR launcher go to the options button, click on the global tab and look for the option "clear server favorites/history on launch" and check the little box, a few versions ago that help me with connection problems.
2) Click on the Support button, then go to the utilities tab, preform all the tasks except for the first one.
3) Also in the support tab post the "system info" tab, maybe something relevant there.
4) See if your ethernet cable is just lose or bad.

It's pretty weird. I started playing and so far I've been in the game for 2 and a half hours. Here's the weird part, I haven't opened the esc menu. I was trying to remember what I was doing when I played and I realized I was opening the menu. So far I haven't opened up the menu and I'm still playing.

Turns out it was a coincidence that I didn't hit the menu and it was fine for 3 days. I played 2-3 hours for 3 days. Now it's doing it again. I checked the system info and nothing fishy going on in there and I did everything except ethernet cable but I had the modem and router downstairs about two months ago and I moved them upstairs to my room and I'm connected directly. I can see it didn't fix it.

Do you by chance have a 2-in-1 modem and router device?

No. The modem is from Optimum and the router is from Best Buy or something. it's NetGear. I'm wired into the modem.

If you are getting this error because of your IPv6 settings, DO NOT DISABLE IPV6. Some web sites, including this site can not be accessed if you disable it. There is another, much better fix on Microsoft's site:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2533454
Select "Prefer IPv4 over IPv6" from the link, and run the setup, then restart your PC when it asks you to do so.
How it works:
Windows 8 prefers IPv6 over the IPv4 by default. If you make it prefer IPv4 over the other, PR will launch without any problem, and you will still be able to view sites that use IPv6.

I switched mine over to IPv4 but I lost connection after a minute.

I haven't called but I can play any other game except PR. I do have a problem with Rainbow Six Vegas 2 where I can't login but that's all.

I've been getting this problem lately too. Very weird as nothing has changed except for maybe a Windows update or two.
I'll try to troubleshoot and report back.

I am having the same issue as the other two posters. Everything was fine until last week, last Friday our Internet went out temporarily and I unplugged the modem and ethernet switch to see if it would fix the Internet outage. The Internet came up and was fine a few minutes later.
The next day when I booted up PR and joined a server, within 5 mins I lost connection to the server, reconnected and it kept happening. My friend who lives with me joined the same server on his computer and lost connection to the server as well. I have no idea what might have happened the night the Internet cut out here, not sure if that is the source of the problem?
My ISP is Time Warner.
