Yesterday I was playing Project Reality fine on Windows 10 so I'm assuming it's got nothing to do with the OS but when I launched it up today once I was in-game at the kit selection screen my mouse was just stuck at the center of the screen. My keyboard still worked and I could type messages in chat or w.e and I could close the kit selection menu and all that stuff. I also could use my mouse in the "Esc" menu (main menu pr shit) while in-game but I couldn't move my mouse while in the kit selection screen.

this sounds more like a random bug/glitch. is this still ongoing or a one time thing?

Hello there. I was looking for a solution and found this thread.
I decided to come back to PR after a few months and now I got this same problem. I moved from win 7 to win 10, made a clean install and now when I load a game in any game mode my mouse and keyboard just freeze and I can't do anything other than alt+Esc and close the game. I already reinstalled 1.35 + patches but still no luck.
Any ideas what it might be?

Was getting this problem yesterday and I fixed it but also reinstalled so maybe these methods can help you guys out.

1) Do you have a controller plugged in? W10 has recently delivered an update that sends the usb ports into an absolute frenzy when you unplug something, plug something in. Make sure you start the game without a controller plugged in if you're on Windows 10.
2) Reset the controls through the ingame settings menu and try reconnecting to a server.

Thanks man, controller plugged in was the issue.

So does this mean the game can't be played with a USB controller at all?

Make sure that the reason is not that PR just lost all keyboard settings. Reentering them worked for me.

Got the same problem RN. Running PR as administrator and reinstalling didnt help. Resetting my settings didnt help either.
