I recently purchased a new laptop with windows 10 preloaded on it. Once I downloaded PR V 1.3 I went to the launcher to retrieve my account and when I launched it said

"1322: error verifying profile settings. Please confirm the profile files are not Read-Only and try again. If the problem continues, try resetting all profiles to default in the options menu."

I've tried resetting to default, as well as deleting the Project Reality files in my documents folder. I also tried manually disabling them from being "Read-Only" but whenever I hit okay and apply, and check the properties of the folder immediately after, the folder goes back to "Read-Only".
I have ran the PRBF2 application and I get to the start menu, but it says it is unable to connect to the launcher. I'd really appreciate any help or insight on this. here's my system info.

create a new Windows Account that has admin privileges and see if that fixes it.

I've been having the same issue, and I'm on Windows 7. I finally found a solution that actually works: Go to C:\Program Files\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin and find PRLauncher.exe (the actual program that launches Project Reality, not a shorcut icon,) right click it and select "run as administrator". My best guess for what's causing the problem is that even though I'm the only account on my machine, Windows for whatever stupid reason defaults to not running my programs with the full permission that comes with actually owning the machine.

EDIT: Well never mind then. Apparently my solution only worked once, since the same Error 1322 keeps appearing no matter what I do now. I've restarted my computer, reset profiles to default, deleted my Project Reality documents folder, and it doesn't do anything.

BTW, minor sidenote, but I read somewhere that apparently windows folders are always marked "read-only" for some reason to make the document browser faster even though the folders themselves aren't actually "read-only." Still, none of the actual files in the Project Reality document folder are marked as read-only, so I have absolutely no idea what's going on.

go to where your profiles is in documents/projectreality/profiles/000x

verify you have all files from this link, if not, download them

I checked the folder and I have all of the files that were in the dropbox. Also like what was mentioned earlier, I got the game to run once and then there has been no success since.

Finally someone that has the same problem as me ive tried everything i recently got win 10 and it worked 1 time and then when i came back on again and comes up with the error msg 1322 ive deleted files and restored ive checked my files ive done everything and yet i cant log in im guessing it has something to do with win 10 but i dont know please someone fix this

Same here. After I get it started I have black screen and after 30 sec game is closing.

Right click the actual game application icon. Click on properties. Click run as administrator. Then every time the game runs it will do it as an admin.
The user files are actually stored in another folder which may need admin privileges to access. I am in no way an expert, but I've been trying to diagnose my own problem and this is one that came up.

I am really perplexed now. Yesterday I went through and deleted all of the project reality folders that were not in my C:/Program Files(x86)/Project Reality Folder. Then I went to run the game and it worked perfectly. I even closed and relaunched the game a good six times over a few hours to be sure. But today when I went to launch the game it is back to the same problem. This is getting ridiculous.

I'm having the same problem with Win7.

I did a game update but haven't played.

Everything was working fine previous to that update.

Now, I have to uninstall, re-install. Works once. Then 1322 error.

Sorry I realize I posted this previously in Win8 section (or was it Win10).

Tough to admin, when you can't even login lol.

I have 2 identical computers one upgraded to Windows10 and the other still on 8.1 and both have this 1322 problem and I have tried deleting the profile folder didn't work and eventually found a solution that most of the time so far works. When I right click on the PRBF2 icon the list pops up and I clicked on 'Troubleshoot compatibility" then you can test the program if it wont work click on "-> No, try again using different settings" and in the boxes try "The program requires additional permissions" or "The program opens but doesn't display correctly" then click the flashing admin permission at bottom and usually works but I have to do this mostly every time to play the game.

It worked the first time, but it was like the computer learned what I did and has made it so now when ever I tried it and doesn't work anymore and I'm getting pusses because I want to play this game but I can't because te read only thin won't change and the only good idea someone gave me didn't work. I'm getting like really heated about this.

Disable McAfee's real time scanning and try running the game. If that doesn't work disable McAfee completely, that has been working for other people getting the same error as you.

so i disabled mc afee but now it launches but then goes black 2 seconds later and closes
