Can barely hear people in local PRMumble behind me

I mean I get it should be more quiet when people are behind you, but my PRMumble has people whispering when they are behind me. It's so bad when I'm in some tank/APC crew I can't hear the other guy in the turret behind me unless I turn around.
When I installed PR for the first time on my new computer, I didn't have this problem for some weeks. Then I accidentally reset my PRMumble configurations (the "Default" button or something in Mumble Settings) and ever since then my shit's been fucked.
Anyone know what could fix this?

When you're ingame, try pressing the + on numpad and see if it helps.
If not, then your best choice is probably to turn down the effects audio setting.

Didn't help unfortunately. It's not a whole-volume level. I can hear people in front of me fine. But when I turn my back to someone who is literally 1 foot behind me, I can't hear them AT ALL.
This is really pissing me off because I even did a clean re-install of all of PR and it's still busted.

Give us specs on your entire audio output system please
guessing you have some sort of 5.1, 4.1, quadrophonic or doubled stereo that is affecting the front/rear balance of PRMumble.
Have you set your PRMumble audio up correctly?, go to advanced options and look about.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys.
Litoralis, I did the audio setup again and basically changed the output to Headphones (instead of speakers I guess, it's a checkbox).
This has fixed the issue.
Thanks everyone.
I suppose when I reinstalled mumble it unchecked the Headphones box (since I'm not using headphones).
