PR:WW2 is proud to announce the kind cooperation of several PR communities in hosting the Beta Release.

The Beta Release will take place from the 28th until the 3rd of January with the respective server hosts having the freedom to play the content as long as they wish for during that period. For more information about content please check the latest PR:WW2 update in PR Highlights.

HOW TO INSTALL?

You will need have PR:BF2 v1.3.9 installed and working. The PR:WW2 v0.2 Beta installer comes in an .ISO file just like the PR:BF2 standalone comes. The same installation instructions apply like they are written here.

  • Added new overrun mechanic for outposts. You can now overrun them from further away the more soldiers you have:
    • 10m - 1 soldier
    • 50m - 2 soldiers
    • 100m - 4 soldiers
    • 150m - 8 soldiers
  • Updated outpost to be disabled for 30 seconds if overrun and disabled for 90 seconds if rebuild.
WEAPONS:
  • Updated M1 Garand 3P animations.
  • Fixed field dressings being too big.
  • Increased M1 Garand damage.
  • Decreased M1 Carbine damage.
  • Fixed M1918 and M1 Garand ejecting 5.56 shell casings.

    • Fixed combat area making map zoom behave odd.
    • Lowered wind speed.

GENERAL:
  • Fixed lighting on German kit geometries.
  • Fixed outposts having to be too close to supply crates in order to be build.
WEAPONS:
  • Reduced amount of ammo on K98.
  • Increased M1 Garand and M1918 damage.
  • Added Trench Gun.
LEVELS:
  • Merville :
    • Added M3 Halftrack to STD
    • Added ticket bleed to STD when you control the flag.
    • Reduced tickets
    • New ALT layer.

Do you have any download links that are closer to Asia (say China) please? I'm getting max 74 Kb/s, by the time it's done, beta will be closed!!

You do need project reality as this mod makes use of assets and textures still from the mod. At least this is to the best of my knowledge.

So, when you say install like PR, should I put it in my route folder?

Edit: Hold on, I think it will just install the full game in my PR BF2 folder

Edit 2: Ok, just incase some people don't understand the process of how to install to get it to work, this is how I did it.

Step 1: Download the .ISO (or torrent it if they release a torrent)

Step 2: On the same HDD/SSD as Project Reality v1.3.5, create folder for the installer and name it PR WWII

Step 3: When the download is done, unzip or whatever method you like to use to the PR WWII you just made

Step 4: Run the "setup.exe" file

Step 5: Install ze things, for me, the punkbuster download stopped responding right before the download finished, so I closed that download window, I don't know if that will effect gameplay, will update.

Step 6: Hopefully, profit! I hope to see you little confused peeps on the beach!

After a really bad day,i downloaded pr ww2 installed it played 2 of my best matches ever leaded a team and my squad to victory and was top player thank you devs for this amazing game :D i'm just speechles shoutout to the guys who killed that armor and took an image [ATTACH]8343[/ATTACH]s :D DDDD

Good god it feels like I've anticipating the return of PR WW2 for so long. I can't wait to hop on once I get it set up now. Thanks for all the time you guys have put into this btw. Did you just finish up a lot of content/fixes once winter break started Rat? What are the big things still on the list?

Whats also very interesting is, that it looks like it that PR WW2 improves/motivates people to work more as a team.

Also, is someone working on a 3rd map? i know you guys have airplanes too that are (ready) for use so thats why i ask it. Or is patient bear the answer? :o ops: :p

but this one is not for the airplanes i guess.

I've been having loads of fun with this. Storming that beach sure is a unique experience in PR. Got myself some nice M1 kills today including one long range that I could only confirm by checking the score list.

And the close quarters combat in the towns, houses and trenches... I take my hat off. Really well done.

Finally got to play tonight, got my *** kicked a ton but really good games. I am really feeling the amount of teamwork that's stressed compared to vanilla PR. Excited for the rest of the week!

Also, for those who don't know, the Germans get 2 Flak 18 cannons on west/east bridge on Carentan Standard layer. Ambushed and killed 3 enemy troop trucks that tried to rush past west bridge tonight. Don't forget how useful they can be ;)
