PnkBstrB is required?

Hello. I updated the punkbuster and realized that he added a file called Pnkbstrb, the problem is that after I close the Project Reality the Pnkbstrb is automatically deleted and will not start again. This file is required so you can play Project Reality smoothly ?

You do not require Punkbuster for Project Reality. Other games you play however might require it.

Hahahahaha, really? I was told to upgrade punkbuster was necessary to not be kicked from the server. Well, thank you any way !

Just asking again, after 2 years: DO we need Punkbuster? If not, why do we have the PunkBuster Update Button on the Launcher in Support? Thanks
