One of my clanmates own this cpu, i5-3570k.
Yet i'd expected this one to perform greatly, results are actually unsatisfying, empty gaza in center gives 37 fps, dropping smokes decrease to 30 fps.
That's full specs:

Pretty much same, with ~+10 fps increase goes if dropping all settings to low.

For a comparison, another clanmate with not so far better CPU getting 80-90fps with same conditions.

What i'm seeking for is players with same CPU, need their performance and specs aswell.

Why does your memory say it's at 800 MHz? Could be your problem.

The specs from mehason show his memory at the correct speed of 2133 MHz.

Yup, seems like memory speed having huge impact on fps.
Another clanmember reported 100 fps, 90 with smokes.
The only major diffirence is memory speed.

800 MHz just seemed abnormally slow for memory paired with a Core i5 processor. Maybe check the settings in your BIOS related to memory clock speeds.

As always have to take into account entire system, but your 3570 even though it looks "fast" is older architecture Ivy Bridge. My 4690 is Haswell. The architecture makes a big difference as it is that that determines Instructions per Cycle (IPC), this is between each cycle of what ever Gigahertz speed is cited. So even processors that look "powerful" with their cited Gigahertz - even with Turbo Boost - they can be substantially slower if they are an older architecture.

"This is very important for gaming processors. In almost every single game where performance is affected by the CPU, what always gives better performance is high IPC with speedy cores."- https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comme ... han_intel/

Its still low for that CPU. Increasing DRAM clock in UEFI/BIOS should fix it as stated above.

Which RAM sticks hes got? Specs? 800Mhz is DDR2 and some old ancient DDR3.

From https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77 ... fications/

Image

It supports up to 2400 but OC. Standard is 1600 which is 800 Mhz. Dont confuse advertisement trick with actual Mhz.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR3_SDRAM

But I think diagnostics is showing MT/s not bus clock, so his RAM runs at 800 MT/s or 400 Mhz which would be DDR3800. Really need to look into bios and change this if the RAM is faster. If not UPGRADE.

Completely irrelevant and doesn't add anything to help. My Core i5-2500k with GPU runs PR at 100+ fps without dips.

Thanks for this thread, I switched frequency on memory from 800mhz to limit which is 1333mhz. FPS drop by smoke decreased but still in action I get constant fall to 40+ fps when quickly looking around.

Upgrade time. Buy faster RAM and while there SSD. Jump to 100fps instantly.

Also defrag, since you use HDD and reduce page file, reset it and set to system managed. Turn off backgoud apps you dont use.

I recently went from 1333 to 2133 (fastest Sandy Bridge supports), I should test if it makes a difference.

I'm 2500k @4.3 with 2 X 4GB @ 1866 & SSD I haven't noticed any slowdowns.
