Crash when opening menu

Once I'm in game I can play as long as I want unless I accidentally press ESC. The game starts to shows the "opening menu" window. Then after 5 or so seconds the message goes away and the game crashes to desktop with the "cleaning up" message. Any help trying to figure this out would be appreciated. Just to get it out of the way, I meet and exceed the required specs, I have up to date graphics drivers. I installed the game with my antivirus off as well as restarted my computer after all was done just for good measure.

This might not be related but the game seems to also crash when loading the next map after I had finished the round before.

I have tried reinstalling twice before and both problems persist.
