Every time i hit the play button, the screen goes black {as normal}, but then it shuts down showing a message saying "PR:BF2 is closing: cleaning up resources". I searched in the forums but posts are old and have no solutions...help!

pd: I have played pr for 3 years now and i reinstaled it because I reformated my pc... never had this problem untill now.

I've been having the same problem. Launcher does it's usual thing, press play, black screen while game loads...... "PR:BF2 is closing: cleaning up resources". I went in and started PR using the exe(bypassing the launcher) and the game DID start, however it still needs the launcher running to connect with your "account". I suspect that the launcher may be having problems. I haven't tried running it without my AV turned off, but I also have been playing PR on SOME PC or another for almost 8 years with no REAL problems. The most recent update/reinstall process of PR has not worked for me.

always use PRlauncher.exe to start game

I have problems with the launcher as well , when i save video settings and other options in it , it crashes with an error on the launcher . But gladly is saves my settings but still annoying to me because i will have to start the launcher again
