Low budget PC

Hello.
I plan to buy some low budget PC for playing PR2 and do some other stuff, so it has to be Intel + nVidia due the compatibility reasons in other software that I plan to use this machine also.
Let's say these would be initial specs:
CPU: Intel i3 530 2x2,93GHz
GPU: Gainward GeForce 240 GT 512MB GDDR5
RAM: DDR3 2x2GB 1333MHz
Will PR run on these spec smoothly? What should I replace in a first place to get better performance? AFAIK single core performance in a CPU is a key here.
I'd like to do it tomorrow, so thanks in advance for a quick reply.

Is that your current setup (if the answer is: yes) then I would change your graphics card for a slightly faster one (only if you play in higher resolutions than 1024x768p) maybe a GTX 650 or higher (not suggesting any Fermibased GPUs since the graphics drivers got a bit shady in the last quarter) just keep an eye on how much power it needs to run so you don't run into other problems down and once that is fixed you might want to grab yourself some more ram, unless you're running on a 32-bit operating system (in which case you really should upgrade:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... ing-system) and finally if you can afford a slightly faster CPU (which would benefit your whole system and Project Reality in particular) you might want the latest/budget processor, but then you will have to change your motherboard.

Thanks for reply Raklodder. This is not my current setup - i'm using a laptop right now. I found out that I could buy much powerful machine within similar price range, eg:
Pentium G4400 (but it's still weaker than G3258 ;/)
4GB DDR4
eg. GTX240 video card
which could be easily upgraded later on, it should be more than enough for PR
The system that i want to use is 64bit Win7, I have no purpose in switching it to Win10.

i think you Need GPU graphiccard with at least 1 giga or 2 giga Byte or more if you want to Play modern games
recomendations for battlefield 3 is 1 Gigabyte and Project reality requirements are higher than battlefield 3
so a graphiccard with 2 or more Gigabytes is best i think

I think what stands behid higher requirements for PR are mainly cpu and ram due overmodded enviroment - I might be wrong ofc. Anyway I'm getting a GTX 260, then I will change it to some GTX 650 (due the energy consumption) in a future as Raklodder recommend me. I'm not building PC just for gaming, hardly I'll play modern games, hope PR will stay alive a bit longer, and it's not dying right now.
btw what should I read first about gameplay mechanics just not to fail too much?
