Hello everyone ,
I have since the 1.4.6 update a problem with Mumble, indeed, this one no longer works on any server.
I have the broken speaker icon and can not hear or talk to my teammates
I tried to close and start Mumble again, in vain. I reinstalled the game with the ISO 1.4.1 FULL, and made the update again, also in vain ...

I now turn to the forum for a solution, in 1 year of Project Reality I have never had this problem ...

Are you sure it happens with every server? Each server has its own Mumble server.

Are you sure its not your firewall? The "Remote host closed the connection" messages appear always on the same second, It could be something local blocking it.

If it keeps happening, Install wireshark and we can figure out if its getting blocked locally.

I have disabled my antivirus, I have checked the rules of my Firewall and Pr as well as PR Mumble are allowed in and out.
And I tested on 3 servers including 2 on which I never play and every time the host ended the connection on Mumble. I asked the admins if I was banished, they said no:
- PRTA
- Russian Reality PROS
- Merk's Team server

I'll install Wireshark as you say.

EDIT : Wireshark is installed, what am I supposed to do now?

Wireshark records network activity, What I want to test is whether the "Host closed the connection" is done by some local device with firewall or the server is actually actively blocking you.

-Launch Wireshark, on top you have a filter textbox, put this in:

tcp && ip.addr == 212.227.53.118

This will filter to only TCP and only from that IP. Since BF2 doesn't use TCP, it'll only show you the data for mumble.
Go to the "capture" menu on top and start recording. They keep changing their user interface so I'm not sure exactly where it is. Send a screenshot if you can't find how to start recording.

-Join BASED EU PR server (212.227.53.118:16568 ) (Wait for the loading to finish, only then mumble actually attempts connecting. Also if by any chance you're on BASED's website close it, it uses the same IP and will just get caught in the filter too).

-Send screenshot of both Wireshark and the log from mumble.

If we get something indecisive, call your ISP and tell them your "TCP connections" to that IP keep failing just for you.

Its not a DNS issue for sure, you have the right IP.

Sorry, I'm not really sure why's the connection being closed. It seems very likely to be a firewall on the way, those RST packets should not exist, but I'm not really sure.

Also I forgot you can save some time and test the connection without launching PR. Launch mumble manually from:
Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin\PRMumble.exe

I would do the following and try to connect after each:
-Reset mumble settings - delete the mumble folder at: C:\Users\WindowsUsername\AppData\Roaming\Project Reality
-Install on another local machine and see if it works (Just copy the mumble from above)
-Check if your router has a firewall setting enabled.
-Call ISP.

I just delete the mumble folder at: C:\Users\WindowsUsername\AppData\Roaming\Project Reality and ... MUMBLE IS WORKING !!!!!!
