Hi

I installed the game today and i have a problem with the update. After the update showed an error :acces denied ScreenShooter - Check this screenshot!

Run as admin.

You selected 'windows XP' as operation system category for this thread, if you are on windows XP, It is also important to note that PR will likely not work.

Game works normally when i skip update but then i cant play on the servers

Looks like a simple windows permission error. Confirm that your profile exists or that the process has permissions (Run as admin).

I don't know what i've done but it works now.

I tried PR about month a go on XP Pro 64-bit. Game itself worked. Could update it and play online. Mumble crashed though and did not function.

Can you list at least some of the things you tried? I'm having the same issue and can't resolve it.

There's no separate file to run. It's an automated online/download/update process run from within the PR program. What would you "run as administrator"?

This happens intermittently I must admit and I think to fix it I deleted the profiles folder under my documents. Sometimes if you wait before clicking update or skip it just randomly goes away. Strange one...

As lodomirek mentions, I can skip the update and it plays fine solo, but then it won't play on any server. It crashes before the apparently-needed update installs.

Well, problem solved I guess. The user I was trying to run this under has Admin privileges, but I also tried running everything possible "As Administrator" (the AutoRun.exe, Setup.exe, PRLauncher.exe, etc). Nothing worked. It used to get part-way thru the updates before crashing, and now it wouldn't even get that far.

I then pulled out an old hard drive that still had Windows 7 loaded on it and installed that as the boot drive (vs the XP drive I was using). I don't normally use this drive as the Product Key is in use on my main PC - but just for the exercise...
Once up and running, I installed PR from scratch and fired up the updates. Everything ran perfect. So, with no other hardware changes I'm left to conclude it was an issue with XP.

Any confirmation from the development group? Will the updates run on XP or not?

1. download game torrent (version 1.4.1.0)

2. if you have windows XP recommendation is: download manually
all the patches latest current patch is 1.4.16.0 to 1.4.17.0:

3.disable antivirus before installation install game and disable antivirus !!BEFORE GAME installation
4. copy all the updates to the folder where to update the game

5. when game is finished updating ALL the updates
activate the antivirus again

some antivirus need some allowing of PR
