So.. i installed project reality yesterday..
i am a total newbie so please don't judge.
So.
mumble got something wrong with it
i was playing with the configurations

i clicked one in the configure that turned the whole thing gray no buttons no nothing

I did try to reset the configures by deleting the folder in appdata
I did reinstall the game

Why isn't anyone answering i admire this game and i want to be a good player/teammate

Unless theres a reason you think you need to change them, the default settings are good enough. I would leave everything normal and just play the game....

If you want to change default micorophone jack / input, do it in windows Sound Properties . Mumble will mimic / copy those settings automatically.

mate they're good and all,
but..
mumble won't show anything only a gray screen just open and idon't even know how to talk to my squad/leader
i go in
and there's a headphones thing in the bottom right with 2 weird red things right to it

If things are set as default (ie fresh install) you can set all you really need to just in the mumble options tab from the options setting on the Project reality launcher. You can set up which buttons do what.
Once PR is launched you should have mumble running in your task bar and ingame you should see a spkr icon in the bottom right of your screen when you press your voip enabled keys that you set up earlier. If you still getting nothing alt tab out of game and kill mumble in your task tray, it will restart on its own. It works for 99% of people out of the box. Make sure the problem is not between the keyboard and the chair!

Can you please post a screenshot?

When you open PR Launcher... In the options there are keys which can be changed in the mumble tab. For time being, do not click launch, just remember these keys.

Open PR normally, join a game and test the keys... do they work? Do people hear you?


It might have something to do with Visual Studio run times...

I think it could be that you don't have Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 installed.
