Update Launcher automatically closes

I just installed the game and when i opened the launcher for the first time it asked to update, so I did and when it reached 53% to update to 1.4.3 it just closes and consistently does this, if anyone knows how to help it would be much appreciated, i have already tried a reinstall and it didn't work...

Edit: I fixed it by reinstalling the game on a different hard drive.
