so im currently having pretty strange problem in PR
it started 4 pr 5 days ago, when during game play my mic suddenly stopped working
i checked if mic worked and recorded some audios, mic worked perfectly.
several hours passed and mic started working normally without problems in PR
so yesterday mic started dying again, i thought it could be un plugged so i checked it, in the proces i think i un plugged speakers but then i plugged them in again into CPU
And then strange thing happened
i got back into game, my mic was working but i could not hear Audio from the game
Strange part is that i could hear my squad mates talking to me, but i could not hear like shooting or vehicles moving.
i shot down PR and checked if speakers worked in other games
They did work
then i started PR again, and now i could hear game effects but i could not use my mic
so every time i start game im under strange dilema as i discrabed
so im thinking of re installing game but could there be any soulitions of it?
anybody had same problem?
this thing only happens in PR, i checked it in Counter-Strike and Battlefield, but there both mic and speakers worked.

Probably resets something in your audio driver when you unplug them.
Check mumble itself and see if get disconnected.

If you change AUDIO settings (in full screen mode), you may have to restart PR to get sound back. This is a bug I've noticed, I'm not sure if this is just me or for everyone - This is something todo with ALchemy and X-fi on Vista/Windows 7+. It won't happen on XP.
As for your mic problem, mumble needs re-installed maybe, it has issue currently, afaik.

Unplugging and replugging your headset(while ingame) will remove your ability to hear ingame, this applies to a lot of games, but not all. I don't know what causes this but i'm 100% sure on it. It doesn't always happen but it can.
The reason why you can hear your squad mates is because mumble is technically on a seperate program than PR, it also auto-detects headsets or something. Regardless, by exiting out of mumble you can regain access to your headset even if you replugged it.
Shutting down PR and restarting it is the only way to fix this problem of not hearing ingame(not mumble) audio, but before you do that you should try:
-replugging it again. i had a time when it reversed the audio when doing this(left was right, right was left). replugging it a third time fixed it.
-alt tabbing.(most likely pointless but eh worth a try, anything to not lose squad cohesion)
once you're out of the game, go into your recording/hearing devices and just double check that both work and are set as default to be sure

If its a 3.5mm plug, some drivers have a setting to ignore the 3.5mm detection and always stay on.

Change this setting if its there to see if it helps, is what Alon meant to say
