Is the updater supposed to update the versions 1 by 1?

I downloaded via qBittorrent and it was version 1.4.1 but the latest version is apparently version 1.4.17. So the launcher updated to versions 1.4.2 then 1.4.3 then 1.4.4 and so on.. I eventually got to 1.4.17 no problem but is it supposed to do that? Seems kind of inefficient.

Yes, I believe so. I don't know it must be one by one. My theory why however is that the updater can get corrupted by skipping files or falling back too far behind in my experience.

We don't make patches from version "any" to the latest. Way too much effort. So yes, one by one. Works just fine and doesn't take much more time than when it was a single patch.

It's a bit long but it's a onetime thing. Eventually we'll set a new start point for the torrent.
