FPS changes... really weird.

So... for thee longest time my PC ran PR constantly around 30fps and would never go higher... Ever since we had the last PR update, my FPS shot up all the way to 150-200fps at times, but run a constant of atleast 60-70fps.
Yesterday my computer ( WIN 10 ) forced me into an update, it cut off my internet unless id update... so now i am back down to a lovely 18-30fps?!!!???!!
Mind you, i never changed a single setting through out my computer OR on PR...
everything is maxed out.
Does anyone know if this is just a WIN 10 issue?
after being spoiled with such high fps for that short time, having such low fps again really drags...
Thank you for any help or even looking into this!

Disable vsync. Never use vsync.

Thanks you, I'll give it a shot.
It's just weird because I never changed settings.
I'll see if it works though! Appreciated.

Adaptive vsync is actually kinda ok, doesn't drop your fps much.

Sadly it didn't work.
i don't get why the computer would do that...
could it maybe be something to do with windows 10?

I have no idea then. Maybe you're running out of VRAM? 2GB for 4k resolution isn't enough for modern games, but I don't know how much PR takes. Get GPU-Z and check if you're taking too much VRAM? might be a far shot. I'm taking 1.2GB VRAM on 1080p and I'm not even maxing all the settings like you.

2031 ( 2048 is my max ) i get up to, i was just running at 54ish fps, just did a quick check for memory usage, so i guess it nearly maxes out.
but it just doesn't make sense, for about a month or so, why my FPS was so high when nothing was even changed.
for me, i am completely clueless about PC stuff, i just bought this PC to get back into PR after mine died.
i turned off the ingame Anti-aliasing, VSync and the " No Lods " thing, whatever that is lol.
as long as my fps stays in 50's i am content, but it'd be nice to know why it shot up so high..
would've been nice if the game stayed at those FPS levels.
it'd be nice if it'd go back up, playing with such high fps was too good to be true.

It's really map dependant too.

That is very true, some maps run alot better than others,
well i caved and bought a card double mine,
4gb should run fine then. i hope LOL.
too noob at this. so hopefully when that comes in i should have no more issues.
