So every time I try to open the prbf2_1.5.0.0_full.iso (downloaded as torrent), a small 7-zip console opens and then closes in a fraction of a second and the installer doesn't open. Tried extracting the file with 7-zip, but it said that it can't be extracted. I have directx9, .net and visual c++.

official instalation guide (project-reality-bf2-installation-guide.htm) recommends use of virtual clonedrive

you can download also the recommended virtual clonedrive to mount cd , iso
