Earlier this week, I had the 1322 error of my file being read-only to which I tried to remedy the issue by turning it off, only for the computer to went ahead and make it read-only again. So in an attempt to remove this problem, I deleted profile files and attempted to retrieve my accounts. Now I'm getting "2002: There was an error creating the account. please try again or seek technical support if the problem continues"
Any help?

Have you checked the profiles folder? Does it exists? Troubleshooting isn't easy tbh because there's not enough information. Share more. What's your OS? Do you have a firewall or some sort of AV soft?

Profile folder does exist, yes. Windows 10 operating system and yes, got firewall.

try to disable firewall?

Similar issue. I reinstalled PR for some reason. Before I reinstall, I could play PR without any problem. I used same laptop(Win 10 64bit), and internet. So it might not be a firewall or antivirus issue.

Before the reinstall, PR version was 1.5.3.2. Now it's 1.5.0.0.

I don't even get an error message. When I click blue 'retreive' button, it turns grey. Then nothing happens for very long time.

I'm thinking of reinstalling PR, but from this, it seems like it isn't the wisest idea?

Its possible that we just broke it this patch.
Does creating a new account work as a temporary workaround?

I just successfully retrieved by email yesterday so I don't think it's fundamentally broken..

Before 1.5.3.3 or after? 1.5.3.3 that (probably) broke it was yesterday.

I'm currently trying that but it just make the "Create" button grey for a while and not do anything noteworthy. Before I tried this and it didn't really do anything either but when I tried entering it again it said that somebody (me) already has the name. But when I tried to sign in, the 2002 error would show up again. Will update if the grey button goes anywhere

Try retrieving by email instead of username, for now.

That is what I've been doing, and where the error appears.
Edit: I just restarted my computer now I can retrieve it. Weird. Thanks for all that helped! Though for future note, if my computer auto revert my files to read-only again what should I do?

Run the launcher as admin.

I have the same problem! Started playing right around early stages of PR like 0.2 version and just bought new components, did a fresh win 10 install and PR..

Can't retrieve account, email that i was using 10 years ago is gone..or better i dont have any idea what email i was using at that time, so the only way to get my orginal [FIN]Mauno_Koivisto nick back is using retrieve by username and that cant be done? Grey buttons and that's it.

I hope that you can fix this?

Try to force update by clicking on the arrow next to play and check for updates.

If it doesn't work, can you try running as admin and making sure the launcher has all the permissions it needs?

We're not sure what exactly causes this. Unable to replicate it.

Got it!


Install 1.5.0.0 > Play > Create new profile etc > create OFFLINE account > then you can access launcher and update the game to 1.5.3.3 and after updating just delete the offline account and retrieve your orginal account and it works!

Problem is that the after installing 1.5.0.0 you can't retrieve your old account, by trying you only get grey buttons and nothing happens but when you what i did above you CAN retrieve your account.
