I have downloaded pr using the assistant with no problems. When i launch pr it bring up create account or use existing account. As soon as I type 1 letter in any field, pr closes by itself. Can anybody help?

That's pretty annoying What operating system are you on? Can you go to Support--> copy to clipboard and paste it here?

Hey thanks for quick reply. I am using windows 10. I am not sure what you want me to do regarding support/clipboard.

if you open the PR launcher and open the SUPPORT menu. The first thing you see is an entire list of specifications of your PC. There is also a button there to copy all that text to your clipboard. Then come here to the forum and make a new post where you paste all that text from your clipboard so we can take a look.

There is only 2 options for me to click. Create account and use exisiting account. No support menu.

Have you tried reinstalling PR? Given you are windows 10 you should all required files ready. Try to run the launcher as administrator, make sure no anti-virus or firewall is blocking the launcher in any way. But yeah otherwise I'd try a reinstallation;

Just to clarify, the game does not actually launch. When I click the launcher a small window opens with the the 2 previously stated options.

I have reinstalled twice. Currently trying a third time. Launched as admin and nothing. No firewall or antivirus issues however I will double check that when i try my third install.

Third try at a fresh install gives me same result. no firewall is blocking it. Launched as admin. Same problem. Doesn't matter if i click on online account, offline account or even retrieve existing account. As soon as I type any letter/number the launcher closes with no error code whatsoever.

Please try creating an offline account and also check the Launcher log file at ...\Project Reality\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.log

I can't create an offline account either. Any field I try to type on simply shuts down the window when I input any letter/number. There also is not a PRLauncher.log file in that folder.

This seems really weird. Try re-installing .net Framework and maybe install .net Framework 4

I tried this with no success. I just want to play pr The only thing I can change in the create account part is select a different country. Every other field causes it to shut down if I try and type. If I do not type anything and just leave it it does not crash. Only when I type. Which makes it impossible to create an account.

I guess I will try to install via torrent method. I doubt it will be any different but that's about the only thing I have not tried. Hoping it works. I'll update after I try.

UPDATE. I've downloaded pr via torrent instead, no dice. When the game finishes installing I have a menu with play, website or quit. I click on play and another window pops up with create account or use exisiting account. As soon as I type a letter in any field to create account pr freezes and closes. I am so confused as to what could be wrong. I've tried everything suggested so far. Please Help!

I used my work laptop to try this out. I was able to create account and get into the game no problem. So clearly something is going on with my home pc. I got it this summer and have not had any issues whatsoever. What could it be?

We are also stumped over what could cause this. This certainly sounds like some .net Framework issue. I guess this issue also happens with the text fields in the "Retrieve account" form?

Yes this was happening regardless of the field I was typing on. even when trying to retrieve account. Hope you noticed I've been using "was" because this is now fixed as of 10 min ago. I got home from work and started reading threw other peoples issues on this forum as well as some youtube video comments.(not specifically my issue but issues with the launcher in general.) Stumbled upon something talking about programs that use overlays causing issues or something like that which led me to close msi afterburner. It is always open in tray for my overclock. Voila! it worked first try after that.

Now for my next question. Do you know how i can have msi afterburner running and play pr? It will not let me launch with it open.

While I haven't used afterburner for a while, I played PR with PR+Win10+afterburner combo. Weird issue!

RTTS is also being used in combo with afterburner. Maybe that is the issue?
