I've read the above fixes for error 1221, but the problem is that im stuck at 1.3.5, and cannot find a direct patch to later versions. Someone please help

It's better to download the latest client.

I tried downloading that, using the download helper, but when I try to install it, it keeps saying it's installing the 1.3.5 version

Yes, I checked the version in the support tab, and it says 1.3.5 after I finish the installation.

I very much doubt that given the download assistant was introduced with the 1.5 installer and will not be able to download anything else. Did you still have a previous PR version installed? Uninstall all PR/BF2 installations, use the download assistant or direct torrent, run the setup and install PR v1.5.
