I have played PR for about 1.5 years now on my laptop and it has run great, but just yesterday I tried to open the game and after selecting my profile and launching the game, I got a message saying PR:BF2 has closed cleaning up resources, and the game closed. Today, I got the second error message with a 1103 error code but checked to see if I had DirectX, and after downloading that, I did not get the 1103 error, but I still the PR:BF2 has closed, cleaning up resources message.

Not sure how to embed images, does not seem to be working for me.

Run the game in windowed mode, an error should pop up.
My guess is that it is 'Unknown DynamicOption value 800x600' error. It happens quite often recently.
