Who ever has played on VETERANS-GAMING's amazing coop server can notice one thing:
The bots behave more realistically in general by:
- Defending/protecting/camping key locations like humans would.
- Better distribution of troops and assets across the battlefield.
- Better use of defensive statics such a machine gun nests and AA/Mortar emplacements.
I know many of these new amazing feats by the bot team required some map editing magic like for example placing new bot spawn points, also modifying vehicles and other assets and even middling with weapon handling etc.
The thing is that the end results are amazing for COOP. Literally sometimes I feel like I am in a movie!
So I am wondering, can we have some if not all of those improvements added to PR for anyone to experience, at least as a map layout so anyone who wants the regular coop experience would just choose another layout.
For example, the 64 player layout of a coop map is always the VETERANS GAMING version.
Now that some of the guys who created all that bot magic in VG are now part of PR I don't see why this suggestion couldn't become a reality even if not ALL the features make the jump into retail.

Especially the so called 'south-edge-map-crash bug'.
Also, I'd like to let you know that you break the licence agreement.

Good job, well done.

Re: VETERANS-GAMING COOP Improvements to PR
First of all, sofar i know have our server the standard settings.Double_13 wrote:Yea i would like to see the settings they run this so that ALL servers can share the same setup
Now i have a question Double_13.
Wasn't you one of the first-ones who complained about that a member from us didn't told you how to modify the PR files on a serverside base? Sofar i know was it like that. You told me the whole story personaly. I think you pm'ed me that. I will check.
Another question:
Last conversation on ts3 ... Wasn't it you, who explained me that you never make a navmesh for WWII so =VG= never would be able to run any WWII map because the maps are not supported for coop. Wasn't it you, who told me that you will make the navmeshs for PRTA coop server so they get more population and not the =VG= server. I will ask Binkle and asquirrel because they was also in the channel.
Isn't that a license break too? Ok not happen yet but that is the plan and the plan is to break the server license.
Sorry to say that but stop with that bullshitting stories or we are no friends anymore.
Sure that you get backup from a prta admins who also run a coop server!
@Outlawz:
You remember one of our pm converstations. There is no Love between Double and Melon.
Double hates =VG= because he got kicked out from =VG= because of many stories that aren't social.

Re: VETERANS-GAMING COOP Improvements to PR
Well yes I complained about the server settings as the respawn time (configureable) of 2 min was what broke the game for most % additionally i complained about the server crashing flying off south somthing that only occurs on VG.
As the management did not see with any reason or respect to this i simply went to an other community one several other clan members where part of. This however allowed the management to kick me out and so they did.
Well yes i have mentioned the idea not to publish ww2 publicly and keep them non public at launch.
However this was not to **** on any server in specific but to allow additional testing before publicly releasing the files. As some mentioned including myself it was to keep VG out, but as stated above it is simply to first allow the test the ww2 with more than x nr of humans. (To back up i have no clue how good/bad the bots are and no idea how to balance it) the tests i ran on a few meshes all showed that the bots are 60% worse than normal gameplay.
And while you state i hate melon i do not. I honour melon for what he did back in the days and for what he has made coop according to the claims. However as everybody might have we have our clashes but we keep it professional. You can ask the same people you mentioned to verify this.
Anyway this should not become a drama post in what it became and as such i simply asked for the files so that i can review them and add whats not in yet. Nothing more nothing less

Re: VETERANS-GAMING COOP Improvements to PR
My thread was hijacked and a MMA fight broke out!
What the hell happened?
Why is everyone so edgy and also so protective of their work... it is not like there is a huge market of players out there and that any server will get less populated just because its work ends up in the main game.

Re: VETERANS-GAMING COOP Improvements to PR
Why are these changes only on one server? This is an obvious breach of license regardless of what drama happened between anyone and this shouldn't even be a discussion.
I don't see why these changes can't be globally added to PR, please enlighten me if you think otherwise.

Re: VETERANS-GAMING COOP Improvements to PR
As this is clearly an internal co-op team drama, but our wise rcons decided it was smart to discuss this publicly I will close this thread down. We will try to sort out this mess internally.
