fps drops

1060 6gb

i5 - 9600 k cpu 3.70 GHz

ram: 16.0
but i stil have a weird fps drop and its been getting worse

What are your nVidia Control Panel Settings? What is the resolution of your monitor? Assuming you have the latest drivers for everything, but check that.
Are you pushing the card past it's own limits with CP settings? Maybe there is one or two settings that are not best to leave as 'application controlled' or in a manual setting as they are now.

Plenty of people here and myself as well have experience with the nVidia Control Panel settings for getting certain games to perform optimally. Just a shot in the dark - nab some screenshots, share them here, maybe we can dive deeper into this....

Can you monitor your CPU usage during gaming? OR maybe it's temperatures? A CPU pinned to 100% for some odd reason (not PR) could cause FPS spikes, or a CPU with temps going too high can cause throttling and in games this would show as FPS spikes and freezes, etc.

i just deleted the game, will write back when i set it up again with tthe info you reguested

i would normally play on the highest settings without any problems, but the performence have been fallen. the fps falls down when i look at big areas something it doesnt do normally

it may be the proccessor, that cant take it any more

How old is your cooling fan on the CPU? Or the GFX card? Are the fans clean, are the heatsinks clean?

Maybe consider reapplying thermal paste and washing out the Computer?

Here's what we're looking at -- a snapshot of a High FPS period and a Low FPS period during your gameplay - it's the same whether 27-33 FPS or 60-75+ FPS:



What we can observe is that GPU and CPU temperature and load are well within margin in both High/Low FPS periods, but the GPU Boost Clock state is flipping between On/Off when it should be constantly pinned in the Boost Clock during 3D gameplay.

Basically, your gfx card is not performing as expected, and it's thermals look well within range. The current driver version for the GTX 1060 is 442.59, and was released 5 days ago on March 10th.

TL;DNR
There are plenty of other issues to consider, and to troubleshoot - but the very first step would be to use the most recent driver versions for your GFX card. On top of that, installing the latest updates for your Windows system is a wise starting point, too.

OR - If you are not technically minded, you can install the GeForce Experience software to help guide you through the process to perform a clean installation of this new driver (wiping old settings and driver). You will need to then re-configure your GFX settings, so before doing this, you could screenshot your 3D Settings if you want (not the screens you shared, those are just display settings in the nVidia Control Panel, you want to screenshot 3D Settings - this page: https://imgur.com/RcjR7XF )


(pro tip: if you want to use GeForce Experience to manage driver installation, but don't want their wanna-be SteamStore app running all the time, you can literally uninstall it directly after using it with no issues to the nVidia Control panel or drivers)


**edit: if you have V-Sync turned on, try turning it off and see if that fixes it - there are others with this issue and some of the suggestions are completely unfounded but v-sync seems a possible culprit - google around a bit for '1060 not staying in boost mode during 3D gameplay'

Sufficient power supply?
Disable anything frame rate related like nvidia frame limiter.
Could be something running in the background taxing cpu
Note its an unconventional resolution.

But honestly, to me the visual appearance of the video doesn't look slow/choppy to me at all, contrary to what the readout says i.e. 27fps, therefore I would ignore the readout altogether. It a non issue.
