Memory usage (low fps)

Post by Candy69 »

Well, i recently installed project reality on my new PC, but i have to play it on low settings because of "something"?.. On certain parts of the map my fps drops dramatically.
For an unknown reason my PC uses only 2GB of memory and my GPU is at 15-20% of usage.
So i would like to know what i can do about that.

My PC specs are:
AMD RX 580 8GB DDR5
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB [2x8GB]
2X2TB HDD

And yeah, its only in this game.Any other game works perfectly.

Thanks in advance! :D

Completely normal. This is an engine from 2004, bottleneck is singlecore performance.
Overclocking or disabling simultaneous multithreading in bios may help a tiny bit.

If there is anything else, let me know .

One thing to double check is to make sure is that you are not using vertical sync (aka vsync, "wait for vertical refresh"). Since PR is very dependent on single core performance, it's not uncommon for frames to drop slightly below 60FPS, which, for a 60/120Hz monitor, v-sync would cause the framerate to cap at 30FPS.
