PR:BF2 has closed, cleaning up resources (After about 5-10 mins)

- Win 10 Home build 19041
- GTX 2080
- Nvidia Driver 456.38
Long time PR player, never had this issue before. Just updated from 1.5.5.3 to the latest version and now prbf2 closes and cleans up resources after about 5-10 minutes of the process being launched.
This happens sitting at the main menu, in a coop server, in a pvp server, in a local server. I've tried windowed mode, clearing the shader cache, making a new profile, and all sorts of exploit prevention shenanigans.
I followed the guidance in this post from a user that had similar issues and attempted to create a procdump:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/showth ... p?t=146639
procdump.exe -mm -b -e 1 -g prbf2.exe.
but I get the following results when the program terminates:
[22:45:31] The process has exited.
[22:45:31] Dump count not reached.
What else do I need to try?

Does it terminate instantly?

Not an instant termination, after about 5-10 minutes. Sitting at the main menu, in a game, local or remote, same timeframe.
The launcher log is "clean" (I followed the manual update instructions for the 1212 error)
Code: Select all
Project Reality Log File
PRLauncher.exe started at: 2020-09-23T20:22:06
Warning: 1212: Error validating downloaded file. File is corrupt.

No idea, that's weird that procdump doesn't see anything. Do you have any special drivers not working properly? Anti virus? Post your system specs from the launcher.

Device Manager is clean. I have the Python 3.8 libraries installed but I wouldn't think that would cause this sort of a termination.
The system information shows I have 4gb of RAM on the card but I know it has 8gb (according to GPU-Z and dxdiag).

What's your account ID? Maybe you're losing connection and somehow its not getting logged.
PM if you don't want to post it.

Seems like resetting profiles fixed it, not sure what this was about, maybe old settings conflicting.

Show me mods/pr/bin/prlauncher.log
If it looks empty, run
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/showth ... p?t=147961 after launching and PM me the result. Do it without fullscreen

Can you actually get to the main menu briefly?
Get me a dump.

Well, I'll explain. Today at dawn I tested the procdump with the Fullscreen disable and I was able to play with no problems asides from how annoying it is to play in windowed because the hud and texts are not aligned.
Anywho, later I tested the procdump with Fullscreen enabled and I was able to play for 2 hours until it randomly crashed when a new round began, I restarted the game and I played for several hours straight until it crashed again the same way as before, for some reason the procdump only generated a file in the second crash and not in the first.
From where I'll have to send you the file?
Thanks
Edit: no, it did generated 2 files but the first crash was saved in My Documents and not in the folder where its placed the .exe

Hey brother, I've the same problem too but the only way I fixed it is just playing in windowed mode. Is up to you finding an adequate resolution for your screen.
I play in 1024x668. You can put custom resolutions in the settings from the launcher not ingame.
Cheers
