Today we are releasing the third big update for v1.6. This update brings further gameplay changes as well as new vehicles and two new maps. The biggest gameplay change are increase transport capabilities in lots of vehicles. With this update we are no longer bound to the 8 player per vehicle limit and put a lot more seats into vehicles.

PR:BF2 v1.6.3.4 Changelog (2020/11/06)

  • Fixed roads drawing in front of other objects.
  • Fixed terrain drawing repeating patterns in distance.

Vehicles:
  • Fixed Z-9WA rockets losing damage over distance.

Levels:
  • Ras el Masri
    • AAS64: Removed IDF Vulcan AAV. Replaced one Chinese ZSL-92 APC with a ZSL-92B IFV.
    • Fixed several clipping and floating objects reported.

  • Added option to adjust the weapon selection menu hide delay. Default is set to 1 second. (Video -> Weapon menu hide delay).
  • Added option to disable LOD switching for vegetation. (Graphics -> Advanced -> Increase vegetation LOD)
  • Added option to disable LOD switching for terrain. (Graphics -> Advanced -> Increase terrain LOD)
  • Updated terrain to switch LOD later on all settings.
  • Updated thermals
    • Fixed water being too hot.
    • Fixed sand terrain being too cold.
    • Fixed static terrain shadows showing in thermals.
    • Updated vehicle wrecks to be colder.
    • Updated soldiers to be slightly colder.
    • Updated kit geometries to be colder.
  • Updated network action buffer to reduce input delay by up to two ticks.
  • Updated networking to send more updates per packet.
  • Updated audio settings
    • Improved quality on Medium setting.
    • Increased maximum amount of sounds that can play at once in High and Ultra.
    • Players previously using High will now use quality Medium.
  • Updated commander to require officer kit to place markers.

Weapons:
  • Fixed animation issue with Mini Beryl.
  • Updated weapon switch deviation to apply jump deviation instead of movement deviation. This settles faster.
  • Updated M1 Garand, Gewehr 43, MG42, MG34, M1919, BAR and FG42 to require two hits to kill.

Vehicles:
  • Added one more passenger seat to Warrior.
  • Fixed Spandrel turret getting de-synced from camera.
  • Fixed Stormer flipping too easily.
  • Fixed ZSL-92 coax and smokelauncher getting disabled when damaged.
  • Fixed all Huey variants having a tendency to dive nose down at high speed.

Levels:
  • Operation Barracuda
    • Added PLA Marines.
  • Ras el Masri
    • Added AAS64: PLA vs IDF.
    • Fixed some wall gaps and floaters. Added ladders to seawall stairs near TV station.
  • Kafr Halab
    • Fixed MEC not having UAV.
    • AAS/INS64: Added Shilka to Militia. Replaced one support technical with logistics technical.
    • AAS32: Replaced T-72S1 with T-72S. Replaced Boragh with BTR-60.

  • Updated in-game chat by moving it to the top left and showing 6 lines that disappear faster.
  • Updated maximum input characters for in-game chat to 60 from 150.
  • Updated F8 key to cycle to the next open seat.
  • Updated range finder (e.g. in GLTD) to be more accurate.
  • Fixed delays when opening main menu while playing.
  • Fixed server messages getting pushed off screen too quickly.
  • Fixed static soldier models and cow statics not having blood effects when shot.
Factions:
  • Added new sub-faction People's Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps.
  • Added Spike ATGM as heavy anti-tank to German army.
  • Fixed WW2 anti-tank kits not showing the weapon in kit geometry on their back.

Vehicles:
  • Added additional seats to trucks, helicopters and APCs. Read more details here.
  • Added Dongfeng EQ1108 truck to PLA.
  • Added Dongfeng Mengshi CSK131 armored car to PLA.
  • Added BTR-82AM to Russian army.
  • Added civilian Buick for WW2 maps.
  • Updated vehicles to go to sleep faster after stopping. This should help against sliding/bouncing.
  • Fixed tanks not shooting tracers.
  • Fixed AMX-10RC not stopping to shake.
  • Fixed being unable to shoot through LCVP window.
  • Fixed UH-1C gunner having crosshair.
  • Fixed some exit positions not working for a few vehicles.
Weapons:
  • Added 3p fire rate switch sounds.
  • Updated ammobags to re-supply 200 points of ammo.
  • Updated ammobags to require 200 supply points to rearm.
  • Updated epipen to not drop to ground after using it. Stop littering folks!
  • Fixed Alex sniper 3p sound not synced to animation.
  • Fixed Pf89 drop geometry being too detailed.
  • Fixed Type 82 grenade missing animations.
  • Fixed AA missiles using lag compensation. This fixes AA blowing up the aircraft despite hitting flares.
  • Fixed indoor sounds of FMFAL not playing.
  • Fixed Gebalteladung idle animation not playing

  • Fixed crash when entering unfinished deployable asset.
  • Fixed AI path finding related crash (only on Windows servers).

Fixed AA missiles using lag compensation. This fixes AA blowing up the aircraft despite hitting flares.

nice bait with the btr82... where are the thermals? right now its just the 80a with a different name

The model has differences between it and the 80a. btr-82am has no thermals.

That turret only has thermals on BMP-1AM version.

The 60 Chat limit is really REALLY bad for admins, If your trying to type out a server message you wanna be able to use more than 60 characters in a message, you know how short that is?

I've actually read up a bit more on the differences between the 80 and the 82

It's mainly armour upgrades along with a few suspension and Camera upgrades. (It had a new night vision camera)

But as for the top speeds and such, it's relatively the same.

Good Day, I know this may not be the correct place to ask this but I just installed Project Reality V1.6.3.0 and im having a missing binkw32.dll error, I downloaded the file and placed it into my system32 folder but the error still persist. Is there anyway I can have this problem corrected?

Delete it and hope you didn't just download a virus.
Never touch your system32 folder ever again.
Never download .dlls from the internet.

I know you guys don't like talking about future releases, but looking at some of the changes made recently to the game I can't help but think you are on a very good roll with them.

Namely these little changes that affect the game as a whole: being able to see ammount of supplies in a crate, moving the chat box to make our lives a little bit better, now with this deviation fix. Or even the larger changes that affect the meta: more seats in vehicles or being able to drag boddies.

In the past big patches did change stuff and added new stuff, but recently I'm noticing these incremental changes to the game that would normally be left for the next big patch. What has changed about the development proccess that allows you to roll these (IMO) game changing tweaks on a more regular basis?

Going back to the beginning of my little post here - what kind of other changes can we expect in the near future (before 1.7 becomes the next dragon we chase :D )?
