PR 1.6.6.0 won't launch, black screen flash & nothing

Hi friends,

Previously I was running PR on Windows 8.1 just fine, but I had to have Windows 10 installed on my machine and get a new HDD as well. So naturally I had to reinstall PR as well.

I downloaded and installed PR without problems but when I launch, a black screen pops up and immediately disappears again, it basically just flashes once and then it's like I never clicked on PR Launcher.

I get no error messages whatsoever. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not I launch an online or offline profile, or launch in a lesser resolution than is mandatory with my monitor (1920x1080).

What else can I do to fix this issue?

Fix:

Windows 10 did not have the proper DirectX installed (latest version of DirectX9)

PR worked again. CLOSED.
