While I can't speak for Bijar Canyons or Khamisiyah, since I never got a chance to play them, Black Gold Insurgency (PLA vs. Chechens) struck me as a really unique and fun layer. I liked scaling Insurgency up to full-on combined arms warfare, with Chechens getting tanks and China getting helicopters, and the combination of the gloomy thunderstorm atmosphere and the harsh desert terrain shifted the balance of the combat towards frantic, short-to-medium range shootouts across the sand dunes in a very interesting way. The three times I played the layer, the Chinese forces won, but only barely—so it seemed surprisingly decently balanced for such an unusual layout. IMO while these three INS layers were not the best-designed INS maps in PR, it was a mistake to remove them entirely, and I hope they might be re-added in a future update.
Also, it would be cool to re-add the cloudy, late-evening atmosphere for Black Gold to one of the AAS layers.

Being honest with you, Bamyan is the only 4km map suitable of having insurgency hence why it still has it.
