I'm tired of getting raped by US air assets. Not having an AAV is bad enough on most maps, but not having an AA kit is unforgivable. NVA cant deploy fobs and dshk without crates as it is. It's hard to get crates to the frontline when your supply routes are constantly harassed by choppers. Not even cas just a door gunner is enough to fuck you up.

Maybe deployable ZPU 14.5mm AA machine guns, as more limited alternative to DSHK. AA kit would be realistic in late war settings, but early war probably not (and I think most maps are early war).

Solution to this is RPGs RPGs RPGs and more RPGs, USMCV helicopters are paper thin you can shoot the pilots out and you can clap them with 1 well placed RPG, yes it requires skill but the reward of seeing a burning chopper after taking a shot is worth it.
Giving NVA more AA will just make the US air assets useless and they heavily depend on it in most vietnam maps, that will result in a balancing issue.
Just imagine having no fobs mid game because NVA found all of them and destoried them then decided to rush and build AA super fob outside your main killing your choppers as they cross the DOD line. (Like on Ia Drang)

No. RPG rockets are not enough to deal with the constant assaults of cas. It's rare to even hit a stationary target with AT rockets as it is. In order to be effective against air vehicles with rockets, you'd need to saturate the air space with rockets. Hey... Maybe that could work. NVA grenadier as it stands is pretty useless. And NVA LAT kit is under furnished equipment wise compared to his american counterpart. I say why not give the NVA grenadier a single rocket in exchange for half his grenades. And give the NVA lat kit an extra rocket and frags or rkg-3s.
