APS - Active protection system.

I was thinking about this for a while, and yet i don't know if it's a good idea gameplay wise i just wanted to chat about it since y'all give us these immersion features into vehicles, would it be possible to make this in a similar way as a heat protection like we have the cages on apcs? just making a bubble hitbox around the vehicle, and if being hit it would set it off on cooldown.

Isn't Active Protection the IR blocker thingy like on the T90, that they removed in the T90M because of it being a massive weak spot.

If you're thinking of hard kill systems such as trophy, then well - these would break the balance, therefore even if it's doable, it's undesirable.

Honestly, a potential nerf is having it have a massive cool down and also has to be triggered by driver/Gunner meaning its down to crew reaction time than just RNG. Soft Kill Systems will be fine because some missiles aren't affected by it and top attack will not be affected by it.

Could maybe DoD protection be reworked to work only on specific weapons (missiles and rockets in this case) for vehicles?

When gunner uses APS (meaning that gunner would need to chose between APS and fighting back), DoD sphere would appear around tank and stay active for as long gunner has it selected (with possible set number of charges).
