A guide on how to get more FPS in PR.

Launcher ---> Options ---> Video:

Disable Anti-Aliasing

Launcher ---> Options ---> Graphics:

Disable `Use advanced shaders` to enable old GPU support
Set all `Increase XXX LOD` bars to the lowest value and disable `Fade Vegetation LOD`
Set all graphic settings to low, dynamic shadow & lighting to OFF

Launcher ---> Options ---> Audio:

Change audio quality to medium/low

If it is still not enough:

Launcher ---> Options ---> Video:

Reduce resolution
Reduce View Distance Scale

If it is still not enough:
You are not meeting the minimum requirements to run PR

If your computer has both integrated and discrete GPUs, open Start -> Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics. Then add desktop app prbf2.exe and set it to high performance with your discrete GPU.

If you are using an Intel CPU with updated microcode and BIOS, you might experience lower than expected fps due to the way Intel implements workarounds to spectre/meltdown vulnerabilities.

You can mitigate this performance issue by disabling the bit that controls spectre/meltdown vulns via a software called inSpectre.

Note: Please DO NOT do this on your work laptops or PCs with sensitive information, only do this on your home/gaming computer.

Stuttering on some Ryzen CPUs and Threadrippers (and maybe old Core 2 Quads)

Set PRBF2.exe affinity to just two threads that exist within the same CCX/CCD/chiplet, or enable CPPC CTRL and CPPC Preferred Cores.

Some chips are using MCM/chiplets that have a far slower bandwidth between them compared to the bandwidth between the cores within the same cluster of CCX, causing microstutters.
  • Enable XMP/DOCP/EXPO
  • Enable TVB (Intel) or PBO AutoOC (AMD)
