1311 ERROR

Post by SGT.AZAMI_47 »

HI BROTHERS, sorry if this problem may seem silly, I'm totally new to project reality.
so, as you might guess i just heard about "pr" few days ago, I did install it also some quick YouTube search on how to play and stuff.
I did actually enjoy the game in offline mode also invited my friend for a Lan game, it was all going well until I decided to play online and join the wonderful republic of project reality.
I kept facing this problem every time,

I did reinstall the game several times as it says but no luck, it keeps showing this "file verification error".

I actually did some research about this problem before creating this thread, but I didn't find any lead.

and finally, I want to thank the devs for offering us this wonderful game experience.

Did you download the game from the HTTP mirrors or the torrent link? Downloading via torrent will minimize data corruption like the one on your screenshot.
Other than that I guess you can try disabling your antivirus for a moment, some third-party AVs like avast and AVG don't like PR.
Also, check your drive for any bad sectors/bad blocks.

Hello, first time using PR here but the PR Launcher is not doing its thing. It is neither launching nor showing any open programs on the Task Manager. I tried opening the PRBF 2. exe directly but I can't since the launcher is required. I am on a windows 10, Asus Laptop. Image

Run this executable directly from the PR program folder and let us know if you have the same issue:

I hate to assume, but seems apparent that your installation of PR may be fouled up in some way. If I were you, I would uninstall PR, delete the installer files you had downloaded, and start over by downloading the files again from the Downloads section of this forum.

Before installing again, make sure you have cleaned up your PC, and fully update your Windows OS.

It might also be smart to scan the file system - like verifying the integrity of a Steam game install, but for the entire operating system. It usually takes around 30 minutes to run, or longer depending on the speed of the disk.
"If some Windows functions aren't working or Windows crashes, use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files. Though the steps below might look complicated at first glance, just follow them in order, step-by-step..."
Microsoft System File Checker:

You might also do well to verify the safety and security of your Windows installation, using the Microsoft Safety Scanner:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/intelligence/safety-scanner-download

When these steps are complete, install your freshly downloaded Project Reality file(s).
