War In Ukraine 2022 maps + FPV Drones

Post by User-1 »

hi, I want to know if the developers plan to add maps with Russia's war against Ukraine? and as for FPV drones, it would also be interesting to know, I would really like to see some of this in PR in the future

In general, I couldn’t find anything worthwhile on this topic on the Internet, with the exception of mods for the ArmA, Glory To The Heroes game. but I think it wouldn’t be difficult to create factions, considering that the Russian faction is already done

Думаю было бы классно если бы добавили русско-украинскую войну

It would require a mod team to research, develop and submit it to the dev team for evaluation since the dev team is caught to too many things. A helping hand from the community of players is always welcomed.

We need to get these into the official suggestion forum box, but here is a good place to also talk about ideas without shutting them down.

Based on the reality of what we see, what we know, what we want and what the DEVs are capable of. Contracting volunteer projects to players with development capabilities as well.

So many ways this could go. It says in the features page, WIP factions include Ukraine. A Bakhmut thread got shut down a while back, but its a perfectliy sized and scaleable map on google.

I really hope they make Ukraine look more like a "militia" than a one uniform army. Not everyone wears the national camouflage, OCP/Multi-cam or even MARPAT. Also I don't like the pattern they elected to issue, that pixelated UCP looking stuff that stands out amongst earth and greenery.

I see a lot of mix of gear in real life footage, lots of weather layers too worn in variations for comfort and temperature.

For the drones, we would probably need some new functions. Like being able to pick up 1 extra gear item for when the 9 slot is empty on a kit, like most of the time. Somebody carries the FPV drone.

Drones might be a lot of work, but maybe not. List of things to do I know of for that, create drone model with all details from appearance, noise to physics. Camera optics, grenade dropping function, the operational range function, battery time, reloading grenades, damage models, hit boxes. Controls and collision with objects.

I would like to see all types of FPV munitions.

I strongly believe everything that gets put into this game, will lead to us having a Project Reality Virtual Reality with all the same features and vision of realism.

Would love this new simulated era of drone warfare. I would LOVE an EOD robot, very slow moving, deployable from vehicle. Resuppliable from main.

Apart of the tank + APC +APC logistical/repairs+ logistics truck supply/repair + jeeps + super FOB assets + UAV commander drone + FPV drone + EOD robot brigade with every infantry man set to the spread formation of 1 man per piece of cover/corner/bush/tree and 1 man hit per RPG spread formation.

DEVs would be really cool if they threw together miniature helicopter type controlled FPV drones, with shotgun drone, kamikazi drone and dropper drones. Easy flying helicopter controls. Re-arm them in main base. Give multiple UAV tents with multiple seats with multiple drones available.

New game mode. Throw it on top of maps. Good simulation practice against this new 80% casualty producing threat, 80% of casualties are from drones now. Everyone gets a breacher kit here.

Like an April fools style game mode, or even permanent game mode. One team is 100% drones, other team is regular infantry, with different drone kits like the shotgun, kamikazi, dropper, rifle, RPG launcher, napalm drone to mimic the real life dragon thermite drone.

One team has tickets, another team has limited drones. All drones cost 1 ticket, kamikazi direct hit should make dead dead so it gets 2 tickets for 1 loss if its just one guy. 1 man hit per Kamikazi drone spread formation for infantry with shotgun and rifle mix is the way.

See who wins. Everyone can take a breacher kit in the game mode. All types of 1x1 KM maps.

Everyone stay in view of each other, scan aggressively sky and ground. 1 man hit per kamikazi drone formation.

Given the assets we have, its basically making minaturized helicopters.

This way, we open up 4 eras of modern combat. We could easily do WW1 as well, give everyone bolt action rifle kits, German and British. Just retexture some equipment and uniforms, throw a basic dough boy helmet on them, till they get good work done on the kits.

We have all the Enfield and other weapon assets to make a fun 500 ticket game test mode.

WW1, WW2, Cold war, early 2000s and then the 2020s. Every 20 years war gets new stuff.
1 Man per piece of cover, Move cover to cover. In view of each other to save each other by shooting, distraction, division of enemy attention and ammo. 1 man hit per RPG/tank shell/mortar spread formation full time. Edge of cap zone. Use camouflage, police up each others exposure, no man seen sticking out. Scan aggressively with eyes and ears for anything suspect, even for birds disturbed to fly out of trees

Well, the Russian army from Project reality (2010s) is not the same one that is fighting in Ukraine, now there is a greater use of the AK-12, T-90M tanks (something non-existent in PR, we only have the old version of the T-90 tank) the uniforms that are now more diverse, among other things.

Project Reality update 2.0 is a good time frame for this to be completed by or sometime after 2.0 with what it brings. But ASAP, drone combat.

In reality, despite the actual heavy workload, are only a few asset modifications and new drone assets away from opening the up to date modern era, setting a precedent for other games to follow. I don't mean to make it sound simple, because it is hard, but worth it.

These DEVs should call the old devs to research VR developing, because Project Reality Virtual Reality needs to be ported to VR.

Both old game but also a new game, Squad from the ground up on a brand new generation VR engine. Squad already has VR, but Project Reality can do it better.

Old game so less expensive PC can do VR.

PC requirements for Project Reality Virtual reality.

It will take a high powered PC and I reccomend putting a 4 inch duct flange onto the PC case to attach a minimum of 440 CFM of heat draw from the PC, you could manually turn your PC fans off because the pull from an inline fan is going to run them at faster RPMS.

That will keep the temperature very low, you could run at highest graphics all day and night, never overheat. No dust either. You could set up a 2nd inline fan in your PC space with a carbon filter to pull dust out of room and onto the filter.
