Based on the M16A4 I modified it into the classic A1 model as it appeared in the late years of the Vietnam conflict.

These modules and modifications will be seen in action, in some degree, with the IDF, Hamas and various other irregular forces.

I imagine the textured one will appear as an ingame screenshot in chuc's blog before long.
Last I heard there were plans for at least 3 different A1 M16's, so expect some more full auto AR-15 fun in the future

i never really likes the look of the old M16 versions (exept the M733 the Grandfather of the M4) but its well done, and full auto m16s could be fun (even though the M16 HBar would be funnier

don't EOD already have this?

Great job. I see you didn't change the magazine. Are the current M16/M4 magazines working with the old M16A1 or will you model the more "Nam' looking" 20 rounds magazine ?

For now we will be using the 30 round mags as the IDF uses these on their A1's and so does the Hamas according to our IDF info.

The future *might* bring 20 round mags and the old M203 cover for the A1 variants. For now we'll just have to see which factions and kits gets variants of the A1 model.

So now we have the A4 and A1... will we be seeing the A2?
