Some 1.0 weapon updates
Some no-nonsense art and gunplay-related updates for 1.0.
Going from top to bottom, we have a new surprise for the USMC in the form of a new DMR replacing the aging M21 SWS platform. Keep in mind that the screenshot was deliberately taken at that angle to cover up one detail.. but those on the ball can already guess what it is on the end of that rifle.
Next we're happy to announce that the BUIS system is now fully implemented into our alpha builds, and works seamlessly into current gunplay.
3rd is a cosmetic addition, where those nasty first person opaque scopes have been hollowed out and with some creative visual acrobatics I've devised a better looking first person optic. Note that this doesn't affect how the 3D scope system looks (when you sight in).
Finally is progress on the FN MAG family of weapons. As you can see we're piecing together the bits lovingly one by one ready for animation and alpha implementation.
One more item that isn't in the screenshot montage is changes to the recoil and deviation system. We're hard at work modifying the recoil system to get a more visceral and satisfying experience slogging rounds down-range, with hopefully a greater emphasis on nailing that difference between smaller and higher caliber rounds and weapon types. Deviation also looks set to be tightened up considerably, but more updates on that down the track.
All this is just a small snippet of what we have in store for 1.0, so keep your pants zipped, your rifles up and yourself switched on for the next round.

The G36 will be even better now.
User Ubaydah: "I used to play Call of Duty a lot and Battlefield 3. I am really good at those games 10th prestige, High K/d., I can kill people easily, etc. But on PR, for me, to be honest, I kind of suck."
User Not_able_to_kill: "Frontliner, you like evil man who comes to family house during christmas, takes out tree because it's too happy, so they can be just as sad as you"

Very, very nice.
Back-up iron sights will be very appreciated.
Also, already unzipped my pants when I saw the SR-25 or similar replacing the M21, but then you said "but those on the ball can already guess what is on the end of that rifle."... Could it be?
In which case my underpants will come off too.

Maniac is right that the new marine DMR is a mk12 SPR. Our advisors have been wanting its integration for a while now, and the corps do use the rifle widely over the m14 so there's no helping that. With the new rifle you have more rounds to dish downrange per magazine and also greater chance to land your follow-up shots with greater control ability.
