A Tale of Retribution (.6B Screens + In-Game Firing Squad)

Well, as Brits, we were attempting to gain info about the enemy ammo caches in and around the area of Basrah. So, as the civies stopped at the checkpoint, we searched their cars.

Then, we led them to the interrogation room, where they were asked a series of questions.

After much interrogation, none were willing to hand over any secrets pertaining to the ammo caches. So we proceed to lead them out back to a desolate area north of the VCP.

Them, we tell them to turn around and face the wall.

Then, firing squad to the max. Tell us where your ammo caches are next time!

Aftermath:

However, the insurgents quickly learned of this news. Several were infuriated, and reports that the Brits had also executed a "10 years old child" (actual in-game quotation) further incited their plans for revenge. Their opportunity came, and it was said that a British Merlin Transport chopper had crashed north of the Basrah Industry area. Several insurgents arrived at the scene just moments later, and they killed all passengers, except the pilot.

The insurgents quickly drove off with their capture and took him to the local village. Although they had intended to demand ransom for his exchange, as well as the the release of several prisoners, local insurgent scouts reported that a British rescue convoy was on its way. There was no time for negotiations, and the insurgents executed the pilot in the manner that the innocent civilians were.

It's not THAT big of a difference...Plus, I'm still running 1680x1050, not 1600x1200 srtetched, so in fact, it still is close to how it would be without widescreen.

Yeah, I'm very picky about that stuff, I guess. I can't ever stand TVs being set to wrong aspect ratio, and even 4:3 resolutions on a 5:4 screen. That's why I don't use a widescreen monitor.
