I joined the 10th Mountain server yesterday,to have a nice round on Kashan.
I joined a squad(as one often does),the SL didn't have a mic but that wasn't really a problem since 3 other people did.

Imagine my surprise/disgust/anger/annoyance when I discovered that our SL didn't really want to lead.He wanted to stay at main base and wait for jets.

It wasn't only him,there was a group waiting for the jets.Several people teamkilled and were teamkilled to get to the jets.

People where complaining over the chat and saying it was their turn next.

The rest of the squad was off fighting for North Bunker.The SL was eventually kicked by an admin.

I thought all that stuff had been left behind in VBF2,the players fighting for the jets weren't noobs,they knew to request a kit etc.

Why are people still doing this?!?!?!?!?!

Because they want to fly jets.

I am almost gald that lag prevents me from flying in PR ( no problems in ArmA though, weird) because of all the trouble that surrounds any aircraft in any map.

Almost everyday i have to ban/kick someone for Tk's, not only for jet's but also Serial teamkiller's (who start tking for no reason on the mainbase)

Me myself really didn't play a whole lot of vanilla, but what I guess happens is...

You put a person who played vanilla a LOT in a map/situation ( Gulf of Oman chopper nuts, jets in kashan, old .3 strike at karkand ) and they tend to act the way they did in vanilla... just a guess

PERSONALLY I avoid jets at all costs unless I have a very well known friend who is SL'ing ( Talkin to you spacecadett ) who wants us to take an air role.

What I hate the most is the "random" TK where you almost stop and say "They had no reason O.o?"

Had a nilla moment a couple days ago on the insurgency server, building a firebase with shovel and some guy from the same clan as commander just shot me... then began building it himself...

Made me quit as commander on Seven Gates today because I was TK'd 4 times, inside the citadel walls, twice by the same knucklehead.
The aforementioned knuckle head then proceeded to join my squad in every other round and never listened to any commands.

I joined that server once with bad experience. Kashan Desert loaded, the map where you get 8 tanks. I made a tank squad, only two joined, one without mic and the other with but wanted to go solo.

there's a simple solution to this....take out the planes!

I think, 10th Mountains is the only server, that still runs Kashan 64p on regular basis.

Reminds me of Street. Saw a downed medic, almost walked by because i wanted to play with my shotgun, but as per usual my conscience got the better of me, I grabbed his kit and revivied him.

He shot guns me in the head, killing me outright, and takes his kit back and runs off...

if someone on you own team is shooting at you is it ok to shoot them back so you dont die ect? if you KNOW that they are trying to kill you

In theory, no.
In practice, maybe, but if they are doing it to be a smacktard then it's usually better to die and let them get kicked for TK's than to revenge TK which makes it much harder for the admins to decide who is the guilty party.

If you are taking long range fire from a blue guy and can't get to cover, well, I have killed those people before but usually just because it's a dark dot in the distance that is shooting at me so I shoot back.

its so stupid like this one time i was on the 24/7 al basrah server and i took the last PKM at mosque and this dickhead next to me just tk's me for the freakin gun... so stupid i dont remember that ever happening to me on vanilla

I'd have to call BS on this one. He would've died after picking up the kit if he tk'd you.

Ehm, no.
The autokill works only on limited kits.

I dont get teamkilled alot....
But i get shot at alot of times...
Uesterday i had that match where i was assigned as a sniper in my squad.
Dont remember the server,but the map was Sunset city.
We where as US defending that temple at the River on the US side of the city.
I had hidden myself well on the hill and suddenly blullets where flying past my head so i proned back a littlebit to hide.I saw a chinese squad running but i couldnt kill them because i was getting shot at,while i was looking around for the shooter i found out that it was and teammate trying to be funny by `almost hitting` me.
The chineze squad caputered the temple and my squad+commander where flaming me because i didnt shoot.

well i do get team killed alot of times but what really pisses me off is when someone does it on purpose...

Tonight i was playing on Street and some guy started to call me a cheater because he couldn't see where i was killing everyone from. I even thought it was funny at first and didn't thought too much about it.

A few minutes after, i noticed that some guy on my team was always walking after me where ever i went... so then i saw his nick and it was the same guy that called me a cheater. His nick was Heros ZimZim and he changed team just to stalk me in game to see where i was and what i was doing. So far so good since i didn't really care what he was doing.

A few minutes after, I was prone on construction site and he was right next to me for along time now... suddenly he shoots me in the head and then changes back to his team... where he had 2 more guys from his clan.

Seriously people with childish attitudes shouldn't be allowed to play this game!
