playing on battle arena insurgency today as insurgents when i got a SVD and as a joke i said "I have the uber cool sniper rifle"(as a joke
)and every1 automatically thinks i have .50 sniper. anyway 1 guy says "watch out otherwise next time u get it i'll be there and i'll kill you". 5 minuetes later i was running along when i got to a house 200m away from VCP and i hear a gun shot come in from the house which wasn't any ordinary gun sho sound so andgo in and up stairs theres a GB rally point and i creep past it out onto the balcony to find the guy who warned me with the .50 sniper rifle shotting my team. i pull out my knife, stab him and nicked the rifle. after i pulled out duel MP7 and blast away the rally point. later inthe round, still alive, im on the roof tops sniping away when my team try taking VCP.i could only see the walland not into the base its self. for a laugh i fired a shot over my team mates head and all of a sudden over the VOIP came "ALLAH AKBAR cool shot who ever did that" so i checked my stats and i was a kill up so i killed some1 i didnt see who was in the fog. it was my best shot. it was best round on not being killed (4 deaths in total) and 10 kills with sniper rifle

Rubbish, was playing other day on Seven Gates with Johny from on here and he got his hands on a 50 cal... He ended up going 80 for about 4. Got up to around 50 without dying once. Was extremly impressive.

Anyone can rack up pointless kills. Helping your team is more important.

Why is the .50 sniper so awesome, has it a better scope or is it one shot one kill on any part of the body?

one shoot one kill

Rather one shot, one car!
I don't like snipers working in big squads though. Most guys doesn't know that Snipa Kits can be requestet for the classical sniper setup of shooter and spotter. Way more entertaining too!

It has a pretty good scope and it's firing arc is straight over long distances. Overall, certain gaming behavior is involved with the .50 being so great. Everyone thinks they'll get the most kills with it when most of them get a knife in through their spine within the first five to ten minutes of picking it up.
It's a wonder.

If your shooting enemy's at a flag your team needs to capture it takes those guys out of battle for 30 seconds.

You totally don't get the point. I'm not saying no killing...
I'm saying, who cares about killing useless grunts and racking up kills? They'll only spawn back in 30 seconds and come hunting for you. Plus you're not helping your team to win.
I prefer working in 3 man 'Recon' squads. 1 sniper, 1 marksman and rifleman/engineer.
Last time on quai, my squad took out 4 littlebird pilots (not camping main, while they landed ;]), 2 APC's and a lot of SLs and grunts. We had to change position pretty regularly and let easy kills pass us by to stay hidden. Our main aim was to disrupt the enemy and report enemy positions to CO. Which we did :]
That's using it properly IMO. Way more satisfying too.

Here's hoping the devs hide the kits so well, or preferably take them out completely so that people get back to the teamwork element of the game.
That or.. take out the scoreboard until the end of the round (suggested before)
even better only getting "points" for a kill if spotted by one of your squad members or another of your team before.
Points out, Easter egg kits and novelty toy uzis out.... Objectives, coordination and teamwork in.
In case anyone wants some good counter-lonewolf sniper tactics come and speak to me or the guys i regularly play with in-game.
Snipers with supporting troops/spotter now thats a whole different ball-game, only way is to effectively take them out of the game with vehicles, which are too quick, too armoured or maneuvere well away from the snipers position (copter).
If the lonewolf is having to constantly move to find a target he will be mopped up on the ground by the infantry while he is moving to a better location, or be forced to stay still for long periods of time hopefully waiting to kill that key individual which swings a particular encounter.
