played for an hour tonight.. was afk for 20 mins...... no change in game play.... no atack.. no defence... walked around my defence point, nothing.... is there fun in this game for any one with more than an hour to play anymore?
perhaps its just me, but i am not sure that i can spend the time playing this mod.
maybe the odd time that i have 12 hours off work, or the family is away, i can log on, but other than that it simply to time consuming to spend my time looking at very well laid out, stratigicly set trees, on a map that waists my time even loggin in to.
sorry fellas, well done on great mod...... but i am not sure that this player since .2 can help you out further than this. i am simply not sure i can invest any more time supporting PR.

It depends on the map and players really. I've had a lot of those "whatever" rounds, where nothing is really being done and its lasting hours.
TG gamer has some good short maps, Sunset City usually lasts like 40 mins, EJOD too.
I think that Fool's Road needs to be made smaller, I dont know if theres a smaller version, but it lasts too long and theres too much running.

We need more 32p versions/sized maps for sure.

I like 64 players on 16 players map. Most of the regular "hardcore" PR players think that is vanila.

the vets leaving pr effect hasn't been felt yet cause of the all the new people tryin out the mod. should be in interesting to see in a few months from now. the mod is losing a lot of experienced and teamwork oriented players. too bad it's getting to this.

I dont know about you but the BigD gaming server I play in is still filled up with the same vets. Another doom/gloom prediction?

I understand Avalon; I don't concur entirely though but here's my impression: the developers did a GREAT JOB again with the 0.7 update.
However while the rounds are getting more and more epic, the time available for us having a regular job remains the same. I simply can't afford it to play several hours lasting rounds. It's a pitty but that's the (real life) reality.
As consequence I must be absent - for over a month already

Damn Avalon, I'll be really sad to see you go. These days I'll check out PR to see if I can see any really good SLs like fuzzhead or dbzao, but if I can't then I'll just play ArmA or go work out or something.

its been a month after release of v0.7, most servers i visit i see new and old faces, and they all seem to be having enjoyable experiences. i dont see any kind of mass exodus by PR vets...
yes, rounds lasting a bit too long is a problem which will be addressed in a patch (reduced tickets in most maps).
maybe players who only have 20 minutes to dedicate to gaming should try out some of the faster paced mods like FH2 or POE2, which are great for having very short rounds and lots of action.

And you don't think its at all possible for new tactical players to join it? No offense at all, honestly, but just because someone hears about a game and plays it before someone else doesn't mean they are the cream of the crop.
Granted, I don't want to see any vets leave, myself, but I think we have also gained many new teamwork oriented players in the past few releases...
That being said, I'm sorry to hear you're leaving, or thinking of it. Maybe if time ever frees up you can reenlist?
Take it easy

You're right. Post count is obviously the primary determinant of skillfulness.
