A good time cut short

Post by Rudd »

Zatar Wetlands, Counter attack T&T server.

Started an infantry squad, and was assigned landing site 2 as my objective.

The squad managed to get together within a minute of landing and get the flag capped in an orderly fashion, Commander was incredibly efficient at getting bunkers etc set up with squads assigned to carry supplies to CPs as we go.

My squad grabbed an Hummer with me driving. Had a couple of over-eager men who couldn't wait to see some action- had to calm em down a little.

Once the bunker was erected at landing site 2, commander sent us to center hill. Half way we set up a rally point in some cover out of the enemy's LOS. Sent my sniper up on a hill to gather intel on enemy movements at our objective.

Over-eager soldier started annoying me with the go go! emote, told him rather sternly (sorry to him if I was too stern) that we will damn well wait until we know what we're up against.

Target appeared clear, we went in and started capping, heard a APC so I got my soflam out to spot...."lost connection to server"

This is where the screaming of "crappy university internet!!" started streaming in to the night....with a smattering of curses.

not funny.... It was shaping up to be a really nice match.

I read this as "A good time short cut". This was not what I expected....

Anyhow, that mad sucks dude. Zatar is an awesome map to play USMC on when you have a good team, even if it ends up going against you. Sorry about your connection, graduate, get rich, then you can just play PR (10.0 by then) all day.

Yeah that sucks. I've started getting random disconnections (never have before) since .7b came out I think. battlearena and that LIMA server or w/e it's called have disconnected me multiple times on the same round. Thankfully most other servers work fine (or have been).
